Date: July 16thLocation: Chengdu
Day 8: Dujiangyan
Chengdu is an ancient city and the area is full of historical areas. One of the most interesting and impressive is the Dujiangyan (Dujiang Dam). Added in 2000 to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, this hydraulic dam was built around 250BCE.
In addition to being a breath-taking piece of history, there are also Panda viewing sites, as this is on of the only areas where Panda exist.
To get to the site, we will want to leave and catch a shuttle around 8:30a—it’ll be an early day, but we’ll also beat the heat. We should return back to the city just in time for an afternoon nap.
